Sri Lanka is affected by two monsoons that hit different coasts at different times.Β
- Maha Monsoon: This monsoon affects the east and north from about October to January.Β
- Yala Monsoon: This one affects the south and west coasts from May to September.Β
So, for a trip between October and March, you will want to focus on the south coast, the west coast, and the central Hill Country. These regions will be in their prime.
