Day-to-Day Itinerary

From exploring historic landmarks to tasting delicious local cuisine, each day is packed with adventure and excitement. Join us as we take you on a journey through some of the most fascinating destinations in the world.
Mode of Arrival: Volvo coach
Activity: Meet & greet, bike/gear checks, briefing
Focus: Gentle acclimatization to the altitude
Arrive in Naggar or Manali and settle in. Meet your fellow riders and the crew for a detailed briefing. Bikes and gear will be checked and assigned. Spend the day exploring Naggar Castle, the Roerich Art Gallery, or relaxing by the Beas River to acclimatize.
Night Stay: Naggar/Manali (Hotel/Guesthouse)
Altitude: ~2,050 m / 6,726 ft
Distance Covered: ~180 km
Time Taken: 6-8 hours
High Point: Jalori Pass (3,120 m / 10,236 ft)
Terrain: Mountain roads, with a steep, narrow section over Jalori Pass
Begin the ride towards the Sutlej Valley, crossing the scenic Jalori Pass. The route offers panoramic Himalayan views through dense pine and oak forests. Descend to Rampur Bushahr, a historic town on the ancient Silk Route.

Terrain: Narrow valley roads, prone to rockfall in sections
Ride into the enchanting Sangla (Baspa) Valley, famous for its apple orchards and distinct Kinnauri architecture. Explore the historic Kamru Fort before continuing to Chitkul, the last inhabited village near the Indo-China border, known for its picturesque setting along the Baspa River.
Night Stay: Chitkul/Sangla (Camp/Homestay/Guesthouse)

Terrain: State highway and a steep ascent to Kalpa
A relatively short ride to Kalpa, a village perched high above the Sutlej River. Kalpa is renowned for its direct and stunning views of the sacred Kinner Kailash massif. Spend the afternoon exploring the serene mountain hamlet and its local monasteries.

Time Taken: 7-9 hours
Terrain: Challenging tarmac and gravel roads through the high-altitude desert
Today marks the entry into the Spiti Valley. The journey involves traversing stark, otherworldly mountain terrain on thrilling roads, passing scenic spots like Nako village and the Khab confluence. Arrive in Kaza, the administrative and cultural center of Spiti.
Night Stay: Kaza (Hotel/Guesthouse)
Altitude: ~3,800 m / 12,500 ft
Distance Covered: ~75 km
Activity: Full day of local high-altitude sightseeing
Explore the key landmarks around Kaza. The circuit includes visits to Komic (one of Asia’s highest villages), Hikkim (home to one of the world’s highest post offices), and Langza (known for its large Buddha statue overlooking the valley). Cross the Chicham Bridge and visit the iconic Ki (Kye) Monastery.

Time Taken: 4-6 hours
High Point: Kunzum Pass (4,551 m / 14,931 ft)
Terrain: Paved roads followed by unpaved tracks
Ride from Kaza over the high Kunzum Pass, offering spectacular views of the Chandra Bhaga mountain range. Descend towards the enchanting, crescent-shaped Chandra Tal Lake. Settle into the camps located near the lake and enjoy the surreal high-altitude alpine scenery.
Night Stay: Chandra Tal (Campsite)
Altitude: ~4,300 m / 14,100 ft
Distance Covered: ~120 km
Time Taken: 6-8 hours
Terrain: Extremely challenging dirt tracks with water crossings, followed by paved roads
A demanding day’s ride, tackling the challenging road from Chandra Tal to Gramphu. This section is known for its rough surface and multiple water crossings. Rejoin the main highway and return to Naggar/Manali via the Atal Tunnel or Rohtang Pass, completing the Spiti circuit.

Focus: Rest, relaxation, and exploring the town
A full rest day to recover from the strenuous journey. Use the day for local sightseeing in Naggar or Manali, visit art galleries, temples, or enjoy leisurely shopping and dining before your final departure.

Mode of Departure: Evening Volvo coach
Enjoy a relaxed morning and afternoon at your own pace. In the evening, board the Volvo bus back to Delhi or Chandigarh, concluding the memorable Spiti Valley adventure.
Inclusions
We plan for all stays and meals. We arrange, if required, for accomodation on a twin-sharing or single basis, Inner Line Permits and associated fees, a basic First Aid Kit for fixed departures, certified guides and instructors including NOLS-certified guides, mechanic support throughout the trip.
Exclusions
5% GST, personal expenses, insurance, fines or servicing costs, activities additional to what has been planned for, extra costs arising from delays or breakdowns, and anything not specifically included as per customized final plan.
