Day-to-Day Itinerary
We have carefully planned out each day to give you the best possible experience. From exploring historic landmarks to tasting delicious local cuisine, each day is packed with adventure and excitement. Join us as we take you on a journey through some of the most fascinating destinations in the world.
Focus: Arrival and initial exploration.
Arrive at Tbilisi International Airport (TBS) and transfer to your accommodation. Depending on your arrival time, take an initial walk to get acquainted with the city, perhaps exploring the lively atmosphere of the historic Old Town and its diverse architecture.
Night Stay: Tbilisi.
Focus: Discovering the capital’s key landmarks.
Spend a full day exploring Georgia’s vibrant capital. Take the cable car up to the ancient Narikala Fortress for panoramic views of the city. Descend to explore the historic Abanotubani district with its Sulphur Baths, see the modern Bridge of Peace, and wander the narrow, cobblestoned streets of the Old Town.
Night Stay: Tbilisi.
Distance Covered: ~50 km (return trip)
Focus: UNESCO World Heritage Sites.
Take a short drive to Mtskheta, the ancient capital and religious center of Georgia. Visit the 6th-century Jvari Monastery, perched on a hilltop with views over the confluence of the Mtkvari and Aragvi rivers. Continue to the impressive Svetitskhoveli Cathedral, a masterpiece of medieval architecture. Return to Tbilisi for the afternoon.

Time Taken: ~2 hours drive
Focus: Georgia’s primary wine-producing region.
Drive east into Kakheti, Georgia’s premier wine region. Your destination is the beautifully preserved, walled town of Sighnaghi. Known as the “City of Love,” it offers stunning views across the Alazani Valley to the Greater Caucasus Mountains. A visit to a local winery for a traditional Georgian wine tasting is a key experience.
Night Stay: Sighnaghi.
Distance Covered: ~200 km
Time Taken: ~4–5 hours drive
Terrain: Scenic mountain roads.
Drive from the vineyards of Kakheti towards the High Caucasus Mountains. The route joins the famous Georgian Military Highway. The main stop of the day is the Ananuri fortress complex, a stunning medieval castle overlooking the Zhinvali Reservoir. Continue the scenic ascent into the mountains.
Night Stay: Gudauri area.
Distance Covered: ~35 km
Time Taken: ~1 hour drive, plus activities
Focus: Iconic mountain scenery.
A short drive brings you to Stepantsminda (formerly Kazbegi), a town set in a valley dominated by towering peaks. The day’s highlight is an excursion by 4×4 vehicle up to the iconic 14th-century Gergeti Trinity Church, dramatically situated with Mount Kazbek in the background.
Night Stay: Stepantsminda.

Time Taken: ~3 hours drive
Begin the drive back down the Georgian Military Highway towards the capital. Stop at the Russia-Georgia Friendship Monument near the Jvari Pass for sweeping panoramic views of the “Devil’s Valley.” Arrive back in Tbilisi for a final evening to enjoy a traditional dinner or last-minute souvenir shopping.

Focus: Airport transfer.
Enjoy a final Georgian breakfast before transferring to Tbilisi International Airport (TBS) for your departure flight.

We plan for all stays and meals. We arrange, if required, for accomodation on a twin-sharing or single basis, Inner Line Permits and associated fees, a basic First Aid Kit for fixed departures, certified guides and instructors including NOLS-certified guides, mechanic support throughout the trip.
Exclusions
5% GST, personal expenses, insurance, fines or servicing costs, activities additional to what has been planned for, extra costs arising from delays or breakdowns, and anything not specifically included as per customized final plan.
