Join us as we take you on a journey through some of the most fascinating destinations in the world.
Arrival Airport: Bandaranaike International (CMB)
Focus: Settling in and light, local exploration
Terrain: Coastal urban environment
Touch down in Colombo, Sri Lanka’s capital. The day is for acclimatizing and initial exploration. Highlights include colonial-era architecture, a seaside stroll at Galle Face Green, and the bustling Pettah Market for a first taste of local culture.

Time Taken: 4-5 hours
En route Stop: Dambulla Cave Temple
Terrain: Plains with lush, agricultural landscapes
Drive inland towards Sri Lanka’s cultural heart. The route passes through paddy fields and coconut groves. A key stop is the Dambulla Cave Temple, a UNESCO World Heritage site featuring five caves filled with ancient Buddhist frescoes and statues.
Night Stay: Sigiriya / Dambulla area
Activity: Climb Sigiriya Rock (morning recommended to avoid heat)
Focus: Archaeology, history, and local village culture
Explore the iconic Sigiriya (Lion Rock) fortress. The climb reveals ancient, well-preserved frescoes and stunning panoramic views from the summit. Optional activities include visiting the Sigiriya Museum or enjoying a bicycle ride through nearby traditional villages.

Terrain: A significant ascent from the central plains into the cool, misty highlands
Journey south into the highlands, observing a dramatic shift in climate and landscape. The route winds through lush green hills. Notable stops include the picturesque Ramboda Falls and the vast tea estates of the Hatton region.
Night Stay: Nuwara Eliya
Altitude: ~1,868 m / 6,128 ft
Focus: Colonial heritage, tea production, and nature walks
Spend the day exploring Nuwara Eliya, known as “Little England” for its colonial bungalows, rose gardens, and racecourse. Visit a working tea factory to learn about the tea-making process, stroll around Lake Gregory, or opt for a soft hike in Horton Plains National Park.
Night Stay: Nuwara Eliya
Distance Covered: ~60 km
Time Taken: ~2.5 hours by road / ~4 hours by train
Transport: Option of road vehicle or the famous scenic train journey
Embark on one of the world’s most scenic journeys to the charming town of Ella. The route passes through rolling tea plantations, over viaducts, and through forested hills. Upon arrival, a key highlight is the view of the iconic Nine Arches Bridge.
Night Stay: Ella
Distance Covered: ~190 km
Time Taken: 4-5 hours
Terrain: Descending from the highlands to the tropical coast
Drive from the cool hills down to the warm southern coast. The route weaves through cinnamon plantations and palm-fringed landscapes. Optional stops include an elephant-spotting safari at Udawalawe National Park or a break at the popular Mirissa Beach before reaching Galle.
Night Stay: Galle
Activity: Full day of exploration on foot
Focus: History, colonial architecture, and coastal views
Spend the day within the walls of the Galle Fort, a UNESCO World Heritage site. Wander the cobbled lanes, browse boutique shops and art galleries, and enjoy the views from the historic lighthouse. A sunset walk along the ramparts overlooking the Indian Ocean is a must.

Distance Covered: ~130 km
Time Taken: ~2 hours (expressway) / ~3-4 hours (coastal road)
Optional Stops: Bentota or Hikkaduwa
Return to the capital via the efficient Southern Expressway or the scenic old coastal road. The coastal route allows for stops at beach towns like Bentota (for water sports) or Hikkaduwa (for coral reefs and seafood). Use the evening for final souvenir shopping in Colombo.
Night Stay: Colombo
Activity: Airport transfer
Enjoy a final Sri Lankan breakfast before transferring to Bandaranaike International Airport (CMB) for your departure flight, concluding the journey through the island’s diverse highlights.

We plan for all stays and meals. We arrange, if required, for accomodation on a twin-sharing or single basis, Inner Line Permits and associated fees, a basic First Aid Kit for fixed departures, certified guides and instructors including NOLS-certified guides, mechanic support throughout the trip.
Exclusions
5% GST, personal expenses, insurance, fines or servicing costs, activities additional to what has been planned for, extra costs arising from delays or breakdowns, and anything not specifically included as per customized final plan.
